Scana Subsea AB has been established to improve Scana`s focus on products for subsea applications. The base is high quality forgings from the Scana Steel forgers combined with Scana resources for design, machining, welding, coating, material development and assembly.
Scana Subsea AB coordinates existing and develop new competence within the group for supply of new prodcuts.
The objectives of Scana Subsea AB are as follows:
- Ensure that all links in the value chain are executed in accordance with the requirements for a finished product
- Coordinate expertise through project management which matches or exceeds the customer’s expectations
- Establish in-house competencies with products and specifications
- Ensure quality and precision in deliveries
- Implement and manage continuous improvement processes
Based on own steel plants, heat-treatment facility and material development Scana Subsea has a uniqe capability to support subsea companies with products specially designed for increasingly deep waters and corrosive surroundings.
As a member of the Scana Group, Scana Subsea AB has unique access to the resources and expertise of its sister companies who specialize in forgings of all relevant steeltypes and sizes (Scana Steel Björneborg AB, Scana Steel Stavanger AS, Scana Steel Söderfors AB), design and advanced surface treatment (Scana Offshore Vestby AS), material development (Scana Materials Technology Center AS) etc......
