Auditor

The annual general meeting elects an independent external auditor and approves its fees. Ernst & Young has been elected as auditor of Scana Industrier ASA. Scana's policy is to use the same firm of auditors in all group companies where such is practical and can be determined by Scana alone.

The external auditor shall confirm to the annual general meeting that the consolidated and parent company annual financial statements have been prepared in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

In accordance with requirements governing auditor's independence, Scana will only use the elected external auditor for tasks other than the statutory financial audit to a limited extent. The auditor will nevertheless be used for routine audit-related tasks such as assistance in connection with the preparation of corporate tax returns and other tax forms, interpretation/understanding of accounting and tax regulations, and confirmation of financial information in different connections.

Scana does not have a separate internal auditing department, but uses resources from an external auditing firm should the need for internal auditing arise.
