DRB system
Features of the Disconnectable Riser Bouy:
- Internal turret with active turning controlled by vessel ICS
- Dry mounted hang off deck for DRB
- Disconnects in 45 seconds
- QCDC – a multibore connector for risers, umbilical stab plates with integrated ESD isolation valves with hydraulic operated fail-safe actuators
- Up to 5 x 8” 5000 psi risers may be installed when required
- Bouyancy to carry the riser weight of 250T in addition to DRB weight when disconnected
- DRB designed for being dropped to 100m water depth (ALS)
- Enabled to be picked up utilising a pull-in winch with fish tool (Ball Grab, transponder at DRB and vessel DP system).
- Weather vaning enabled via a piggable swivel and rotation of DRB.
