Scana Wikov is one of Norway’s leading suppliers of gears and gear systems, and sells gears either in standard components or as special solutions. Scana Wikov is located at Jørpeland, near Stavanger, together with Scana MTC and Scana Steel Stavanger. Scana Wikov was founded in 2006. Scana Offshore Technology and Wikov Industry AS (Czech Republic) each own 50 per cent of the company. Scana Wikov is the agent for Wikov Industry for the oil & gas market.

Market and customers

Scana Wikov works within the petroleum, manufacturing and shipbuilding markets. The company's main customers are Norwegian and international manufacturers of process and drilling equipment. The wind and tidal power sectors are also important customers. Our largest customers are the winch manufacturer I.P. Huse and Aker Solutions Pusnes which manufacturs anchor handling and mooring winches. The company has entered into a framework agreement with I. P. Huse, which has subsequently been extended. Scana Wikov has also established a customer/supplier relationship with several other equipment manufacturers in Norway.

Products

Scana Wikov primarily sells gears, gear systems and gear parts for drilling rigs, supply vessels and related ships on a commission basis. Scana Offshore Technology carries out service and maintenance of the gears. Despite our relatively brief existence, Scana Wikov has been well received in Norway. We are now working actively internationally, particularly with customers in the USA. We use Scana’s Oil & Gas offices in Houston to further develop the market there.
