Materials Expertise few can demonstrate

Through our investment in thermal coating, we have built a genuine expertise in materials technology. Through an engineering theoretical and practical approach we can make the coating with the desired properties in wear, corrosion, and friction. All coatings are tested and documented. Today we deliver our knowledge to products like Gates & Seats, Riser Tension rods and more.

We have our own metallurgists working in this area at Scana Offshore Vestby AS and we have the Scana material technology center in Jørpeland outside Stavanger with approx. 20 metallurgists supporting our work within testing of corrosion, etc.

Scana Offshore Vestby AS has for many years worked in close association with research institutions in Norway and abroad in order to further develop and lead the way in this area. With the many years of expertise we have gained, we know that one must take the whole picture into account to achieve the best results. There are many elements to think of such as process, not least the composition of raw materials, operator and spraying equipment.
