Health, safety and the environment (HSE)

The Scana group comprises companies that affect the external environment through noise pollution and emissions. The group is licensed by the SFT and the emissions generated are regarded as not exceeding the permitted levels. The group works continually to reduce emissions, waste sent to deposits and other negative environmental impacts. Waste from the group's activities is managed and handled according to the applicable regulations, and recycled where applicable. The companies within the steel business area buy large quantities of scrap for remelting, and are thus also active within the recycling industry.
